ABSTRACT

This work gives an evaluation of the mode of assessment in secondary schools. a case study of yenagoa local government area, bayelsa state

. A hundred and twenty questionnaires were distributed among students and teachers from selected secondary schools in yenagoa local government area, bayelsa state. Interviews and surveys were also conducted.

 

Primary and secondary data will be used in the analysis. Tables and percentages will also be used as the instrument of analysis

 

It will be observed therefore that the measurement of students’ academic development and improvement have a strong and significant impact as a mode of assessment in secondary schools.
